Mule trams
CCFL – Companhia Carris de Ferro de Lisboa
Date of opening: 1873, November 17 (from September 1887 until September 1890 also tests with battery trams, from 1889 until 1892 also steam traction on Sundays and holidays during the bathing season)
Gauge: Original 1435 mm, from 1890 also 900 mm
Date of closure: 10 August 1902
Cable trams
NCAML – Nova Companhia de Ascencores Mechanicos de Lisboa. The NCAML was taken over by the CCFL on 31 December 1912.

Estrela line: opening 1890, August 15, length 1.7 km, closure 1913, July 3
Graça line: opening 1893, March 26, length 1.0 km, closure 1913, May 25
The NCAML also operated three steam powered funiculars: Lavra, Glória and Bica. They were electrified by the CCFL
